Where should I place my Keywords?
First of all, most seo's agree that placing the Keywords just in the Meta-Tags is obsolete, since a lot of webmasters where abusing them, the Search-Engines had to find new ways to categorize the web.

Most Search-Engines like Google, MSN and co. are using unpublished mathematical algorithmen to analyse the content (text) of your website.

Here is a overview "where and how" you should place your Keywords
Weight Method Example
1 TITLE <TITLE>Some importend Text</TITLE>
2 STRONG <STRONG>Word1 Word2</STRONG>
TIP:With this method you can create a releation for the Search-Engine, between two and more words
3 Keyword in internal anchor Text <a href="http://mysite.com/faq.html">SEO FAQ</a>
4 Heading <H1>Word1 Word2</H1>
5 File&Folder naming http://example.com/keyword-tool/keyword-tools.html
TIP: The same word in plural and singular isnt the same word for the search-engine, so use the singular in folder and the plural form in file naming
6 Filenaming of images <img src="keyword-tool-logo.png">
7 ALT Attribut <img src="keyword-tool-logo.png" alt="Keyword-Tool">

How do I know which Keywords are good for me?
To find out which Keyword is for your project, check this list:

  • How popular is the Keyword? (more better)
  • How many competition exists? (less better)
  • (Our Tool provides an automaticly Keyword-Efficiency-Index calculation,
which will tell you how good a Keyword is)

TIP: Don't use Keywords you dont like, just because the ranking is high.
Find a balance between SEO and your users (which are not machines), the highest Search-Engine-Position isnt worth anything, if the user understand nothing about it.
What in the hell is onsite-optimization
OnSite-Optimization is done by following factors:

  • Content (text) on your website (better more quality then quantity!)
Your content should also be unique, dont copy!
  • keyword optimization / placement
  • General quality of HTML code and structur.
TIP: Create a sitemap for every project you publish, so the Search-Engine-Spider can find your content even when you make mistakes in your code.
